Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) released the following statement after JetBlue Airways announced it was returning to the Ontario International Airport. Senator Feinstein passed legislation to transfer control of the airport from Los Angeles to Ontario in 2016.

“JetBlue’s return after a decade is a great win for the Ontario Airport and the Inland Empire. This is a major milestone in the airport’s continued growth as a key component of the region’s transportation network.

“This news highlights why we fought hard to return the airport to local control. I’m proud to see the airport’s new leadership is making good on that opportunity and has successfully brought JetBlue back, creating jobs in the community and giving travelers more options in Southern California.”
