The Constitution gives United States Senators responsibility for providing advice and consent to the President on federal judicial nominations. One important part of this role is that Senators recommend individuals to the President to serve as to serve as U.S. Circuit Court Judges and U.S. District Court Judges as well as U.S. Attorneys and U.S. Marshals.
Senator Feinstein has established a Judicial Advisory Committee in each federal district to review candidates for the positions of on an ongoing basis for the positions of U.S. District Court Judge, U.S. Attorney and U.S. Marshal positions in all four of California’s federal districts.
Senator Feinstein’s committees are accepting applications on an ongoing basis for U.S. District Court Judge, U.S. Attorney and U.S. Marshal positions in all four of California’s federal districts. Applicants are advised to apply now and not to wait for a vacancy to arise.
