Senator Feinstein believes the only way to secure Israel as a democratic, Jewish state is to establish an independent Palestinian state by its side. In order to end the tragic cycle of violence between Israel and the Palestinians, resolving the conflict through a negotiated two-state solution is be a top priority.
Senator Feinstein strongly believes that the only way to peacefully resolve the international community’s dispute with Iran over its nuclear program is through diplomacy. She supports the nuclear agreement between the P5 +1 (the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, China and Russia) and Iran. The text of the agreement can be found here.
Senator Feinstein strongly supports U.S. and international efforts to combat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). She believes that the international community must take action to prevent this terror organization from further consolidating control in the Middle East and exporting violent terrorism worldwide.
There is no more important long-term bilateral relationship for the United States than the relationship with China. The entry of China into the World Trade Organization, which Senator Feinstein supported, continues to expand opportunities for California companies to export a wide variety of products to the growing Chinese market. She will continue to strongly advocate for improved Sino-American political, security and economic ties as well as better cultural understanding.Senator Feinstein is concerned by rising tensions between China and its neighbors, especially territorial and maritime disputes. She supports using diplomatic means to resolve disagreements and prevent conflict in the region.
