Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement after voting against John Ring, President Trump’s nominee to the National Labor Relations Board:
“The National Labor Relations Board is critical to protecting the rights of workers to organize and collectively bargain. Stacking it with President Trump’s pro-business nominees suggests workers won’t get a fair shake.
“I’m concerned that John Ring will be no different from President Trump’s previous nominees to the board, both of whom I opposed. He has spent the last 30 years working on behalf of large corporations and has even called the board an ‘activist’ organization.
“Protecting the ability of workers to negotiate the terms of their employment is essential to their economic success. It’s deeply troubling that Republicans are now solidifying a majority on the board that will favor corporations at the expense of American workers.”
