Washington—Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on the Constitution Project’s Task Force on Detainee Treatment, an independent, bipartisan panel charged with examining the capture, detention and treatment of suspected terrorists during the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations:
"The Constitution Project’s Blue Ribbon Task Force has put forward a strong bipartisan report on detention and interrogation activities over the past decade. It is a notable contribution to what is known about this dark period of America's response to the terrorist attacks of 9/11, and I thank former Ambassador Jim Jones, former Representative Asa Hutchison, and the rest of the task force for their work."
The full report is available here.
In December, the Senate Intelligence Committee approved a 6,000 page review of the CIA’s detention and interrogation program. Senator Feinstein’s comments on the report are available here.
