Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank:

“Congress should never have let the Export-Import Bank lapse earlier this month, and reauthorizing it now is a no-brainer.

“The Ex-Im Bank is a vital tool for California businesses. The bank helped more than 1,100 California exporters since 2006, the vast majority of which are small businesses. During those years, the Ex-Im Bank supported a total export value of $24 billion in California.

“With such tangible benefits for California’s economy, voting against reauthorizing the Ex-Im Bank would be irresponsible. The small businesses helped by the Ex-Im Bank are the job creators that are putting California to work. I’m hopeful the bank will reopen its doors as soon as possible.”
