Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank:

“The Export-Import Bank serves an invaluable role for our nation’s small businesses. It promotes U.S. exports, helps California businesses grow all around the globe and brings economic value back home. The Bank deserves to be reauthorized, which is why I cosponsored Senator Shaheen’s Promoting U.S. Jobs Through Exports Act of 2015.

“In 2013, the Export-Import Bank issued new guidelines to promote clean energy projects. Climate change is too important an issue to ignore, and promoting the export of American clean energy technology is an important strategy that boosts our economy and protects our environment. Senator Shaheen’s bill allows the Export-Import Bank to follow this carbon policy, and in doing so, keeps our country’s pledge to be a leader in combatting climate change.”
