Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement after the United State Court of Appeals blocked an Federal Communications Commission’s order preventing states from setting their own neutrality rules:
“This is a big win for Californians who want net neutrality. Strong neutrality protections are key to our state’s economy and I’m glad the court is leaving California’s law in place.
“Net neutrality keeps the playing field level and prevents companies from discriminating or driving up costs to access to websites. Hopefully, now the administration will work with California, and other states, to promote a fair and open internet.”
