Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on the suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan:
“The suicide bombing in Kabul, which killed 80 people and wounded 230 more, is the latest in a horrific series of attacks targeting innocent civilians who were just going about their daily lives.
“ISIL has claimed responsibility for today’s attack, reminding us that the vast majority of ISIL’s victims are Muslims who want no part of its reign of terror.
“The United States must upgrade its efforts and, with our coalition partners, more aggressively target ISIL, and take and hold Raqqa. It should be clear by now that half measures will not eliminate this danger.”
