Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on reports of a chemical weapons attack in Syria:

“The news that Syria has once again attacked its own people with deadly chemical weapons is sickening. The attack—and subsequent attacks on medical facilities where victims were being treated—left dozens of Syrians dead, including children. There’s simply no excuse or rationale for such action.

“The use of chemical weapons is outrageous, and the United States should take immediate action to halt these attacks. Syria is clearly continuing its campaign to slaughter anyone opposed to the Assad regime. This can’t be allowed to continue.”
