Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today issued the following statement after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Southern California:
“I’m following the effects of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Southern California very closely.
“FEMA reports to my office that there are no immediate requests for assistance from the state. I also understand there are no deaths or major infrastructure damage. I will continue to monitor the aftermath of this quake to ensure there is no significant damage.
“We all need to be aware that severe earthquakes are possible at any moment and we must be prepared. My office will continue to work to ensure communities up and down the state are prepared for any disaster.”
