Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, today issued the following statement in response to the deaths of eight Americans – including seven CIA personnel - in a suicide attack in Afghanistan:

"I send my deepest condolences to the families of the seven CIA personnel who were killed in Khowst, Afghanistan, yesterday. My thoughts are also with the family members of the eighth victim and those who were injured in this attack.

 These men and women were bravely serving their country on the front line against terrorists and extremists. The Intelligence Committee mourns their loss, and we send our thoughts and wishes to the entire CIA family on this sad day."
