Feinstein Statement on Russian Hacking
Oct 07 2016
Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, today released the following statement in response to the statement released by the Department of Homeland Security and Director of National Intelligence on Russian hacking:
“The statement released by the Department of Homeland Security and Director of National Intelligence closely mirrors my joint statement with Congressman Adam Schiff, ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee.
“The administration’s acknowledgement that Russian intelligence agencies are attempting to influence the U.S. election and undermine public confidence conveys the seriousness of the threat.
“Attempted hacking of our election system is intolerable, and it’s critical to convince the Russian government to cease these activities. If it does not, we must develop a strong response.”
